I want to introduce myself. My name is Katherine Fowler, and I'm the new the Media and Educational Technology Instructor (METI) at Medlock Bridge.
I wear many different hats in my role. In addition to being in charge of the media center’s book collection, I roll out new technologies with the staff and students. I love incorporating the latest technology into the media center. Before coming to MBES, I was the METI at Ison Springs Elementary in Fulton County. I've also taught in the elementary classroom in 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade. I received my undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Elementary Education. (Go Heels!) I received my Masters in Education in Instructional Technology from Georgia Southern University, and most recently, got my Educational Specialist in Instructional Technology from The University of West Georgia. As you can tell, I love going back to school to make me more successful in my job working here at MBES!
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, son, daughter, and two dogs. We love traveling, exploring new parts of Atlanta, and watching college football.
I'm Mrs. Fowler, the METI at MBES. I hope you enjoy our Media Messages Blog. Please feel free to post a comment. All blog posts prior to June 2016 were written by Ms. Martin.
